Script Idea: How to Apply for snap benefits

Need help buying groceries?
Here’s how to apply for SNAP (a.k.a. food stamps) in NYC.
[Step 1 — Show ACCESS HRA site on phone/laptop]
Step 1: Go to access.nyc.gov
Click “Apply for SNAP” — it takes about 15–20 minutes online.
[Step 2 — Overlay of basic info needed: income, rent, household size]
Step 2: You’ll need info like:
– Your income
– How much you pay in rent
– Who lives with you
(You don’t need to be unemployed to qualify!)
[Step 3 — Screencap of submission + confirmation page]
Step 3: Submit your application — you’ll get a confirmation number.
You may be contacted for a phone interview or to upload docs.

If approved, you’ll get an EBT card to use at stores and markets.
